FAÇADE RESTORATION WORK: work currently underway includes replacement of deteriorated window lintels with new galvanized steel lintels and associated waterproofing; replacement of cracked and spalled face brick with new to match the existing color and profile; patching and limited replacement of limestone facade cladding panels on the street fronting facade; miscellaneous cutting and pointing of face brick mortar joints; reconstruction of deteriorated and falling sections of brick parapet wall

BOILER CHIMNEY REBUILD: the building’s main boiler chimney had severe spalls and cracks in the brick at the top fifteen feet of the chimney. The deterioration had progressed to the point that the top section of the chimney had to be completely rebuilt. Supplemental reinforcement and a new stainless-steel flue cover will be installed.

FIRE ESCAPE REPAIRS: several of the existing fire escape tread connections had become loose and damaged over time and required new connections. Structural reinforcement was completed on the fire escape support channels as needed. As preventative maintenance the entire fire escape was scraped, primed, and painted with rust-inhibitive paint
